The panel will exist of 26 internationally acknowledged opinion leaders in this field. The participation is limit to 250 persons, and the target group are advanced experts from Europe and overseas, discussing and finding a consensus. In the end, this consensus is aimed to be published in the Lancet Oncology journal. (link shows the publication of Focus 1 about prostate cancer, the Focus 2 article is in process.)
The aim of the meeting is to provide an in-depth overview and critical assessment of the latest development and future directions in the management of neuroendocrine tumours, with a focus on the role of neuroimaging in general and nuclear medicine in particular. The goal is to arrive at a multidisciplinary consensus on the current state of the art and to make expert recommendations how to advance the field towards establishing clinical impact.
